Tom and Daisy - Lancashire Autumn Wedding - Heskin Hall, Chorley

To celebrate Tom and & Daisy’s 1 year anniversary I thought I’d finally put together the blog I said I’d do last year! Tom and Daisy are close friends of mine, I’ve known Daisy since she was born and we grew up side by side so it was a “YES DEFINITELY!” when they asked me to photograph their wedding day.

Daisy got ready in her childhood home, again lovely for me as I also spent a lot of my childhood in this house. There’s something that bit nicer when Brides get ready in the home they grew up in. This is one of my favourites times of the day, especially when family members or close friends step in to help. Daisy got ready with her Mum and older sister, Poppy. (Yes they both have flowers names!)

If you can arrange a moment outside the chaos of wedding prep to have your Dad come to see you alone when you’ve put your wedding gown on then do it! It’s worth having this precious moment captured.

Tom and Daisy got married in their own church that Daisy has been a part of her whole life and Tom the last seven years. Their faith is very important to them so to make their vows in front of their God was a must. I took a moment out to enjoy the service so my friend and second shooter photographed the following…

Heskin Hall is a gorgeous traditional venue in Chorley, Lancashire. They have gardens round the whole building perfect for bride and groom portraits. I took Tom & Daisy for a few snaps as the guests found their seats. I recommend finding 20-30 minutes in your day for portraits on your own. I never want to take too much time away from your family and friends but to have a few minutes set aside is worth it in the long run. You only get married once and is something you’ll look back on year after year.

Group shots were done in front of the stately home. Daisy picked burgundy for her bridesmaids and groomsmen so with the old antique brick building and the warm colours really made it start to feel like Autumn!

PARTY TIME! There’s no better wedding than when the dance floor is full. I should have put my camera down about 9 but there were too many moments like this not to be missed!
